What is Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca is a South American entheogenic drink, with a bitter taste and a brown-red colour. The indigenous people of various tribes who are living in the Amazon rainforest have a long tradition in preparing and making this natural tea called Ayahuasca. This holy tea is made from two plants. The wild-growing climbing plant Banisteriopsis Caapi and Psychotria Viridis. The climber is also called vine.
The active substances of the ingredients are dimethyltryptamine (DMT, an endogenous substance) and monoamine oxidase enzyme inhibitors (MAO inhibitors).
